Afterschool/Morning Program
B.A.S.E. Camp
B.A.S.E. Camp is a 21st Century Community Learning Centers program funded throught the Indiana Department of Education. Collaborating with Fremont Community School, Carlin Park Elementary, Hendry Park Elementary, Ryan Park Elementary, Angola Middle School, Prairie Heights and the Steuben County Literacy Coalition provides an after school program to over 250 children.
The program components are:
- Homework help
- Effective tutoring and instruction for all skill levels
- Enrichment opportunities such as art, music, theatre, science and math
- Real-world activities that connect to the broader community
- Character development curriculum
We’ve worked hard to develop thoughtful, fun, and accessible activities that will motivate and engage your children to actively participate in B.A.S.E. Camp. Prairie Heights Elementary BASE Camp for 2026-2027 school year
Monday – Thursday until 6pm
FREE after school program. Students receive a healthy snack, homework help and have the opportunity to participate in academic clubs and activities. Program begins on the first day of school.

Fremont BASE Camp for the 2026-2027 school year students in grades K-8.
Monday - Thursday until 6 pm
Due to funding changes, the program will now be offered to families at a rate of $40/week (billed monthly) Fees must be paid on the last day of the month prior to your child attending to secure/maintain your child's spot. No refunds will be made if a student does not attend. At this time, we cannot offer discounts for siblings. Refunds will be offered for school cancellation days. No charge for school vacations. Bus transportation is not available after the program. Snacks, homework help, & academic enrichment programs will be provided daily.

FREE programming is offered afterschool. Students will receive a snack, homework help, academic enrichment activities, and bus transportation home (for students who live within district lines).

MSD Before School Care for the 2026-2027 school year students in grades K-8
Before school programming will begin at 6:30 am, Monday - Friday at Angola Middle School
Breakfast will be available for students to purchase. MSD students will be bussed to their respective schools at no cost prior to the start of the school day.
2026-2027 MSD BASE Camp Before School Registration Form - Google Forms
Hamilton Community School: Lit Camp is a new program for the 2026-2027 school year that is sponsored by the Indiana Afterschool Network's BUILD Grant. Lit Camp provides students with structured academic support and enrichment opportunities that reinforce skills learned during the school day. Activities will include guided reading, digital literacy practice, writing workshops, and performance-based literacy experiences such as Reader’s Theater. Homework help will not be provided, but students will be engaged in meaningful literacy activities. This program will begin on a rolling basis. We will first be enrolling children who can attend a minimum of 4 days per week for a minimum of 1 1/2 hours per day. Families will be contacted via email prior to the first day of school if their child is selected for the program. Each child attending Lit Camp will need to bring an afterschool snack with them each day.
